What kyrlat.com is

kyrlat.com is a set of free text tools that run right in your browser: no sign-up, no app to install, no intrusive ads. The site’s main tool is a homoglyph detector: finding Latin letters in Cyrillic text and vice versa.

Besides that, the site has five more tools: text case conversion, list utilities, hidden-character detection, a character/word counter, and an emoji remover.

Why we built this

The idea came from a real problem. Hidden Latin letters in Cyrillic text (and vice versa) are used in phishing links, to dodge spam filters, and in suspicious usernames — and they’re almost impossible to spot by eye. We couldn’t find a simple, free tool that showed this quickly and clearly, so we built one.

Why it’s free, with no sign-up

All text you enter into our tools is processed locally — right in your browser using JavaScript. It never reaches any server. That’s exactly why we don’t need an account, a password, or your email: we simply can’t see what you type.

We plan to cover the site’s upkeep with unobtrusive advertising (Google AdSense) in the future — it has no effect on the privacy of the text you process.
